Campfire

Campfire is a nightly tradition at Strawderman. It is a time when the entire camp gathers together for lively rounds of camp songs and entertaining skits written and performed by a different cabin each night. Skit creation helps the members of a cabin bond together as a unit and singing brings the camp together as a whole. There are also special Campfires including “Shakespeare” (when the members of ‘That’s All’ – the oldest cabin -perform their thoroughly entertaining adaptation of a Shakespeare classic incorporating camp themes); “Showboat” (when the members of ‘Barcarolle’  – the second oldest cabin – stage a revue based on the musical); and, a perennial favorite, “Counselor Talent Night.”
