We will be having a celebration of life service for our former director, Margie Gouldman, who passed away in November.  Margie dedicated her entire life to Strawderman, and has touched the lives of so many girls and women.  You are invited to attend.  The service will be on Sunday, August 15th, at 2:00 Eastern at camp.  If you plan on attending, please RSVP to [email protected]

We still have some spots open for family camp, which will be from August 11-15.  Come to camp for a few days, swim, play tennis or archery, work on a craft, or get on a horse.  Enjoy some traditional Strawderman meals, sing songs by the campfire, and spent time with your family or friends.

It’s simple. At Strawderman, we believe good things leave a lasting impression. Like a cool dip on a summer day, stories told ‘round a campfire at night, broken-in riding boots and well-worn horse trails. Like exciting new challenges, age-old traditions, the beauty of Mother Nature, the wisdom of experience, a rip-roaring belly laugh, and life-long friendships. This is Camp Strawderman for girls, age 6-17: rich in history, nestled in the scenic Shenandoah Valley of Virginia, surrounded by the Allegheny mountains, and wrapped in rustic authenticity, timeless beauty, and true love. If you’re looking for a summer camp experience where a young girl is allowed the freedom to be herself, the room to grow, and boundless opportunity to explore, then you’re in the right place. Discover us. Make your own lasting impressions. And welcome.
